Unstable energy prices in 2022-23 and their large share in the final price of products have motivated us to make changes. Being burdened by the large share of electrical and thermal energy in our production, we have moved to obtain electricity from the sun, so we have installed a rooftop photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 200 kWp, which will produce approximately up to 198 MWh per year..
Our production runs in two shifts, so the energy obtained from the sun is fully utilized. The PV plant itself is oversized to more than double the energy consumption and therefore operates economically even in poor solar conditions.
The entire system is complemented by battery storage for consumption before and after dark, and the excess energy is sold to the grid and also used in electromobility. The fully islanded system has not only freed us from price fluctuations and high costs, but also from potential sudden grid outages and threats to production continuity.
